Good looking, one year old Pit Bulldog mix is friendly as can be and much too busy playing with his toys to pose for a picture but I managed to snag one. He is currently being fostered with other Pits as well as a couple of Chihuahuas and a cat. If you would like to adopt this active and playful dog, please call Tina @ 501-993-3034.

Our Featured Kitties Introduce Themselves!....

<MFOA striving to decrease the number of homeless animals that are euthanized !

Hauntingly beautiful black felines with copper colored eyes, Ariel and Viola have been in foster care far too long! They want a forever home really badly, but they have always hated going to Petsmart and sitting in cages! Since that's the only way that people can see them, we do have a problem! That is, until they made a short video displaying their beauty and talent in the comfort of their own room!

If you would like to give these kitties a good home, call Lisa at 501-851-4709 to schedule a visit with these enchanting beauties.

~~~ Who We Are ~~~
Thank you for considering adopting a new pet from
Maumelle Animal Services and Maumelle Friends of the Animals!
We are a municipal animal control shelter and a volunteer group dedicated to working together to place unwanted animals into lifelong homes.
M.F.O.A. has been incorporated as a non-profit group since September of 1992, and through the years have pioneered several exciting new programs not only for Maumelle citizens, but for every person who owns a pet or wants to own a new pet. Your interest in our animals displayed here today helps support our efforts!
~~~ Adopting a Friend ~~~

In order to avoid an "impulse" adoption, which statistically can turn out to be a short term arrangement for the pet, we encourage potential adopters to come to the shelter in Maumelle between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. during the week, or Pets Mart in No. Little Rock on Saturdays from 11:00 to 4:30 to meet our animals and to fill out the necessary paperwork, learn about our shelter-based spay/neuter program, and make arrangements to pick up your new pet .. You can also go to our website: www.maumellefoa.org to fill out on line or download an adoption form or a volunteer form and learn more about our organization.
We also ask for an adoption fee of $75.00 (for dogs) and $75.00 (for cats), which helps M.F.O.A. recover the cost of a veterinary health examination, feline leukemia test, first vaccination which includes a rabies shot, bath and/or dip, worm medicine, ear mite medication if necessary, and your new pet's spay or neuter surgery. All this is included with your adoption fee!
